Are You Putting Out Art You Want? | Talking Neon with Artist Kate Hush
New York-based neon artist, Kate Hush, came up as a graphic designer - creating animated GIFs and intricate neon layouts online. Eventually transitioning over to bending actual glass, Kate developed hands-on experience splicing, attaching electrodes, and processing her very own neon tubes. While working full-time at Brooklyn Glass, Kate began incorporating her love for film, femme fatale-type characters, and literature. She admits that making neon isn’t always easy, but tells us why it’s super important just the same — you never know where you'll see her work next!
