Lily Reeves discovered neon bending while earning her undergraduate degree in glass blowing at New York State’s Alfred University. Her work has themes of mysticism and performative spirituality. Growing up in Birmingham, Alabama, Lily found herself around communities of evangelists and outsider artists. Different faith-based practices are brought to life using light and performance. She talks with Max about the challenges of working with glass, coordinating installations and why collaboration is important - allowing her to execute on her vision while enjoying the process and people involved.
